CESNET seminar on GDPR
C4e, in cooperation with the CESNET association and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University, organized a seminar on the topic of the General Data Protection Regulation.
The seminar presented the basic principles of personal data protection, both from the point of view of the data subject and from the point of view of the controller and the processor. Besides the general interpretation of the General Regulation, the seminar focused on some problematic provisions and impacts on the law in the Czech Republic. This included, in particular, the extension of the duties of data controllers and processors and new rights of the data subject (right to be forgotten, right to rectification, opposition, portability and access to data, compensation). The seminar included information on current jurisprudence in this area and other important topics that concern the processing of personal data.
The content of the seminar was prepared mainly by Václav Stupka from C4e in Brno and Jan Kolouch from the CESNET association.
More information about the seminar can be found here: https://www.cesnet.cz/sdruzeni/akce/gdpr2017/
